In NSW check out the programs the Department of Environment and Climate Change (DECC) are running. These include
- rebates for hot water systems, insulation, washing machines, rainwater tanks and Fridge Buyback
- the NABERS water and energy rating tools for homes, schools, offices and shops,
- New Energy Efficiency for Small Business program and
- Community Savers program, providing up to $40,000 for not-for-profit organisations to undertake water and energy efficiency upgrades in their buildings.
If you're a resident of Perth, join Living Smart! Living Smart is a course in which you will learn techniques to make a positive impact on your home and neighbourhood, while achieving a healthier, happier self. Topics covered include energy efficiency in the home, waste and recycling, biodiversity and food production. Registrations are open now with the first course starting on 23 April.
